(Western Pennsylvania) — Both the Pittsburgh Regional Building Trades Council and the Allegheny-Fayette Central Labor Council today endorsed Eugene DePasquale for PA Attorney General.
“We represent thousands of workers across various jobs and industries, but we have one thing in common - we believe honest, full time work entitles you to a liveable wage, good benefits, and a safe workplace. We know Eugene believes that too,” said Darrin Kelly, President of the Allegheny Fayette CLC. “We know he will fight just as hard as we do for those values as our next Attorney General.”
“The right to organize and fight for better jobs is a sacred one — one PA’s Attorney General is often called up to protect and defend,” said Greg Bernarding, Business Manager of Pittsburgh Regional Building Trades Council. “Our members work hard and they want to know someone has their back. We were impressed by the way Eugene stood up to corporations and political leaders of both parties as Auditor General, and we need him in our corner again as PA’s next Attorney General.”
“I’m proud of my record fighting for PA workers when they’re being bullied, abused, or mistreated. I won’t ever apologize for looking out for working folks. That’s what the Attorney General’s office is for - giving a voice to Pennsylvanians when the rich and powerful try to take it away,” said Eugene DePasquale.
These endorsements add to Eugene DePasquale’s large and growing list of endorsements from across the commonwealth and country.
