(Western Pennsylvania) — Teamsters Joint Council 40 and Teamsters Law Enforcement League today endorsed Eugene DePasquale for PA Attorney General.
Joint Council 40’s combined membership totals nearly 35,000 hard working men and women employed in various private and public sector jobs, including transportation, warehouse and manufacturing. The Teamsters Law Enforcement League represents officers from more than 75 law enforcement agencies across Western Pennsylvania.
“Every day, we fight for our members to have good jobs and fair pay while they keep our neighborhoods safe and help our communities thrive. Eugene has always had our backs,” said Teamster Joint Council 40 President Carl Bailey. “When greedy employers try to put us in unsafe conditions to save a few bucks, we need a strong Attorney General who will stand up and fight back. We know that’s the kind of Attorney General Eugene will be, and that’s why we’re standing by him today.”
“The men and women who put their lives on the line to serve and protect us every day deserve more than our respect - they deserve an advocate in the highest law enforcement office of this state,” said Eugene DePasquale. “As Auditor General, I was always on the lookout for workers being cheated or mistreated, and with the full legal power of the Attorney General’s office, you can bet I’m going to continue that mission.”
The Teamsters endorsement adds to Eugene DePasquale’s large and growing list of endorsements from organizations around the state and country,
