(Harrisburg, Pennsylvania) — The Pennsylvania State Corrections Officers Association (PSCOA) today endorsed Eugene DePasquale for Attorney General. PSCOA represents the interests of 10,000 law enforcement and correctional employees in State Correctional Institutions (SCIs).

“As Eugene demonstrated as a member of the State House and two terms as auditor general, he understands the challenges facing the men and women who patrol Pennsylvania's state correctional institutions and forensic units,” said PSCOA in its endorsement. “We thank Eugene for the concern and support shown for our officers and their families through the years, including the 2015-16 audit he did on the violence our officers face on a day-to-day basis, which led to his call for an increase in corrections officers to enhance safety and security. We look forward to continuing our work with Eugene once he’s sworn in as our next Attorney General.”

“The men and women who work in our correctional facilities are on the front lines of what works - and what doesn’t in our criminal justice system. I trust their judgment and have had valuable conversations with them about their experience.  I’m humbled to earn their support in my campaign for Attorney General and I’m going to take their reform recommendations to the highest law enforcement office in this state,” said Eugene DePasquale.

These endorsements add to Eugene DePasquale’s large and growing list of endorsements from across the commonwealth and country.
