(Pennsylvania) — Four of Pennsylvania’s most prominent and respected environmental justice organizations, Clean Water Action, Clean Air Action Fund, Conservation Voters PA and PA Sierra Club, each recently endorsed Eugene DePasquale for Pennsylvania Attorney General.

“We take our endorsements seriously and only back candidates who share our priorities of protecting the environment and safeguarding public health,” said Myron Aronwitt, Pennsylvania Director for Clean Water Action. “Clean Water Action will be working hard to let the public know about Eugene’s record of taking on tough environmental justice fights and turning out our 90,000 members to vote for him in the November 5th election.”

“Sierra Club works to protect public health and ensure safe and healthy communities that are free of toxic air and water pollution. The Sierra Club and its 3.8 million members work to support candidates who share these values - candidates like Eugene Depasquale,” said Tom Schuster, executive director for Sierra Club of PA.

“Clean Air Action is thrilled to endorse Eugene DePasquale for PA Attorney General! We have seen in the past the important role the Attorney General plays in protecting Pennsylvanians’ public health and environment, so we are very excited to support Eugene because we know he will continue the important tradition of looking out for Pennslyvanians as our next Attorney General,” said Clean Air Action Fund legislative director Sean Hoffmann.

“The Attorney General is not only the defender of Pennsylvanians but of Pennsylvania itself - our land, our water, our air must be protected and we trust Eugene to do that critical work,” said Katie Blume, political director for Conservation Voters of PA.

“Article 27 of the Pennsylvania Constitution is very clear; we have the right to clean air and water, and as your Attorney General, I’m going to protect that right,” said Eugene DePasquale. “Negligent corporations and dangerous polluters aren’t going to get a free pass to destroy our natural resources. I’m going to stand up for our environment now and for future generations to come.  I’m honored to have the support of these grassroots organizations and their many members all across the commonwealth.”

These endorsements add to Eugene DePasquale’s large and growing list of endorsements from across the commonwealth and country.
