(Philadelphia, Pennsylvania) — AFSCME District Council 47 representing 7,000+ workers and retirees from nonprofit, higher education, cultural/art and government sectors in the greater Philadelphia area, today endorsed Eugene DePasquale for Pennsylvania Attorney General.

“We work every day to defend the rights, safety and protections of all workers– any candidate we endorse must be willing to do the same,” said Robert Harris, vice president of DC 47. “Eugene is the fighter every worker deserves in their corner. We saw him consistently have the backs of PA workers during his eight years as PA’s Auditor General– we’re excited to see him continue that fight as our next Attorney General.”

“As PA’s Auditor General, I took on hundreds of tough investigations across every sector - public, private, nonprofit. It didn’t matter who was misusing public resources or mistreating the public, I went after bad actors to defend Pennsylvanians and stop the corruption and abuse at its source.  I will continue that mission as PA’s next Attorney General. I’m honored to have AFSCME’s enthusiastic support and they know they have mine,” said Eugene DePasquale.

This endorsement adds to Eugene DePasquale’s large and growing list of endorsements from across the commonwealth and country.
